Are the outside corners clip-on?
These ecomony blocks do not clip on since they're not specific to Focal Point moldings. We do manufacture clip-on options for both inside and outside corners. The inside corners are included with our crown molding kits and the "corner kit" option with our kits includes the clip-on version of the outside corner pieces that are specific to our molding designs.
Do I need to Cut 45 degree angles for the corners still?
No. Our economy corners allow you to just cut 90 degree angles for your outside corners to eliminate the need for coping the corners.
Do You sell inside corners too?
Yes we sell economy inside corners as well. We also sell economy molding connectors which allow you to easily join the seams in your crown molding.
How do these install?
There are two tabs on each outside corner blocks that are used to secure the corner pieces to the wall. The molding goes over the tabs and sits flush with the wall.
Do these work with only Focal Point crown moldings?
No. The outside corners are designed to work with a wide variety of crown moldings and are not specific to those manufactured by Focal Point. However, they do work well with Focal Point crown moldings.
Do these work with wood moldings?
Yes. These outside corners work well with wood moldings and can be painted to whatever color is needed to match or contrast the wood.
Is adhesive required?
No. Many choose to use adhesive, but 2" screws into the faceboard will be suffice for holding these corners in place.
Is face nailing required?
Face nailing is not required with these. If installed properly, you won't have any holes to fill after installation.
